12 Indeed, all who desire to ^vlive a godly life in Christ Jesus ^wwill be persecuted,

22 ^lstrengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them ^mto continue in ⁿthe faith, and saying that ^othrough many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.

3 Not only that, but we ^frejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering ^gproduces endurance,

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

33 I have said these things to you, that ^hin me you may have peace. ⁱIn the world you will have ^jtribulation. But ^ktake heart; ^lI have overcome the world.”
